EFFETI’s experience, versatility and manufacturing capacity are perfectly suited for the railway industry, a segment for which EFFETI has been capable to design a number of top-tier products – both in terms of quality and technology – that meet all technical requirements prescribed by the standards applicable to international markets.
Starting from the assumption that properly designed power supply units may be installed anywhere and operate in the most extreme environmental conditions, for over 20 years EFFETI has successfully designed and manufactured the following power supply series: FS STD, FS REX and FS SAN for use in the railway industry. Designed to be installed under passenger cars or freight cars in compliance with all safety constraints and fitting into the prescribed car shapes, this type of power supply unit can supply all the power needed for full passenger comfort in case of power failure or outage along the railway line.
FS SAN series power supply units are fitted with the innovative “DC VOLTAGE” supply system designed specifically for this purpose by EFFETI; the system allows to power the railway car systems with direct current. This innovative system allows to provide voltage at 520/600V DC to loads, with maximum electrical power supply of 30kVA (24kW).
